Meet Barbara: Because Even A Superstar Needs a Mom

I watched every episode of X Factor that year, 2011. A spunky, vivacious girl named Rachel Crow took the stage and stole the hearts of millions of Americans. There was something special about this girl, you could see it in a minute. She was born to perform, born to bring light to lives. She took…

Meet Patty

Five days have passed since I met sweet Patty. She emerged from the back like an angel, and words won’t adequately describe the way she made me feel that day. But try I must, to put this experience in words, because as I circled the mall after meeting Patty, I felt with all certainty you…

Meet Miss Mara

Mara. Sweet Mara. I’d heard her name many times more than once. I took note this little girl was in need. Prayers were lifted from the pulpit and there were requests for even more prayer. Her name showed up in email newsletters, and there was a benefit too. For years, these opportunities to cross paths…

Beautiful and I feel the same when I start to look at everyone’s dreams and compare, I am defeated before I even start… Thank you for sharing!ReplyCancel

That is beautiful! I have some God-sized dreams too that I dare speak out loud. We will pursue our dreams together. God is the One who places the desires of hearts within us, right? Bless you!ReplyCancel

My sweet friend… a thousand times YES! This is me… this is so many… all of us with our own voice… our own story… our own piece of a Dream that weaves together and gives Him Glory! I LOVE this! I will be praying for you as you pursue that God-sized Dream of yours… (and I enjoyed our rare ‘quiet time’ at the FMFParty last week too!)ReplyCancel

    Dear Amy,

Keep going forward one step at a time…most of us feel inadequate…I know I do, but I keep reminding myself that my adequacy is from God (2 Cor. 3:4-5)…what I love about Holley’s book is the focus on our relationship with God being primary and not about the dream so much in the big picture.

Your dream matters…keep close to Him 🙂

    Cheering you on 🙂ReplyCancel

Sweet Dolly, I think we’d be fast friends if we lived closer. Your perspective always seems to compliment mine just right. Thank you for your support and kind words.ReplyCancel

Struggling with those same thoughts from time to time, but yes, He has something to say uniquely through you. Comparison is futile, and I’m sure you know that! Everything here is beautiful.ReplyCancel

Tresta, I’ve been thinking about your comment “comparison is futile.” What an obvious statement, but how easy it is to fall into the trap of comparison. There’s always someone further along the path or on a different path, but our path is our own. Thank you for reminding me of such simple truth.ReplyCancel

So much reading to do, so little time. Next up will be her God-Sized Dream book. Thanks for stopping by and for your kind words.ReplyCancel
